Mbarara Living Community Church (MLC)

At Mbarara Living Community Church (MLC), we exist to see lives transformed by the gospel and released into the world with purpose. We are a mission-minded, gospel-centered community where people encounter Jesus personally, grow in their faith through sound teaching and discipleship, serve others with the love of Christ, and go into their homes, campuses, and nations as everyday missionaries. Rooted in truth, driven by love, and committed to the Great Commission — this is who we are.

Our values

At MLC, our values shape everything we do — from how we preach, to how we live, serve, and reach the world.

Gospel-Centered

We believe that God created humanity for fellowship with Him, but that fellowship was broken through the fall. Through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, reconciliation is now possible. To those who believe, God has entrusted the ministry of reconciliation.

Love-Driven

We love because God first loved us and commands us to love Him and others. This love was most clearly demonstrated in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Flowing from that truth, we extend love to the world through joyful witness, service, and compassion.

Mission-Minded

We believe the Church doesn’t just have a mission — it is a mission. Our God is a sending God, and our message is a missional one. We seek to create a mission-minded culture that equips and mobilizes believers to fulfill the Great Commission wherever God has placed them.

Truth-Centered

In a world that treats truth as relative, we hold fast to the absolute truth found in God’s Word. It is through this truth that we are sanctified. As a church, we labor to proclaim truth clearly and boldly, while exposing error with grace and conviction.

Meet the leaders & elders of MLC Church

According to the Bible, the church should be led by qualified elders and assisted by qualified deacons (1 Timothy 3: 1-13; Titus 1:5-9). Elders are responsible for providing spiritual oversight and “shepherding the flock of God” (1 Peter 5:2-3), while Deacons serve the physical and practical needs of the church (Acts 6:1-15). At Mbarara Living Community Church, we are blessed to have such qualified leaders and more, provided by God.
